With Avengers: Endgame premiering this week, what better time to refresh your students’ knowledge about the Marvel cinematic universe?
Here’s a set of printable mini-cards especially designed in the Marvel colors to help your students engage on conversation on the topic of the Avengers movies and help them prepare for the latest one in this series. There is also a black&white version of the mini-cards included together with the suggested answers to the questions.
It’s been a tough week as I started teaching an intensive course to 10 and 12-year-olds on the topic of music. I’m making all the class materials myself. There is one more week to go and I thought of designing some conversation cards around the topics that I introduced in the classroom to help me with the revision. We talked about types of music, various artists, musical instruments and the materials they are made of.
So… if you teach a similar class, maybe the conversation cards below will come in handy.: )
Let me know!
A new set of conversation cards that you can use with young adults and adult learners. Just print the .pdf file, cut out the cards and have each student draw one card and answer the question (you can organize this as pair work or small group work). Set a time limit for the answer and turn this into a competition. For instance, the students have to speak for one minute as they answer the question. Meanwhile, the others who are listening can think of follow-up questions.
Or you can just use these cards to start a friendly chat in your one-to-one English sessions.
